Welcome!
Your capacity to harness your nervous system, access intergenerational medicine, and apply to the patterns that need recalibrating in your person, family, community, world, and universe is a power that needs attunement and care.
Surrounded by intentional community, reflection, kindness, and speech rooted in loving truth, we can work through our pains and land softly into belonging. We are living in times of unprecedented access to the perpetual ills and harms that rooted in colonial constructs. We are committed to exploring these legacy traumas and arriving at the truth of who we truly are from the frameworks of communal care, belonging, and building power to overcome oppressive systems as they exist within and around us. We will use co-creative tools and rituals that are as divine as you are. We will deconstruct the confines of internalized oppression by centering co-creative, expansive, revitalizing growth. Social Justice Healing offers tools rooted in Ancient Buddhist knowledge, ritual, poetry, art, and music to support somatic, body release of intergenerational trauma.
In our current form we are licensed psychotherapists, offering multi-medium processing individual sessions, integrated workshops, and harm reduction support such as Restorative Justice and learning to re-calibrate our nervous systems when we get dysregulated. Other modalities include EMDR, Brainspotting, expressive art and individualized culture-based interventions. By integrating our 5 senses in these approaches, we create new neural pathways and pleasure centers that can have amplified use and intensity to help us survive and engage with others in ways that are sustainable, integrated, authentic, and compassionate. We acknowledge our privileges and responsibilities to the Tongva land and center intersectionality and accountability as a continual practice and learning process. Social Justice Healing is queer, femme, and neuridivergent.

About Mitra Karimi-Taleghani
We are so excited to announce that Mitra is joining this co-creative process of caregiving in the community through the use of empowering and pleasure-centered approaches.
